Two articles that appeared in Newsweek over the past couple of years studied the impact that cleaning products have on our lungs. The common culprits in the studies were chlorine bleach, ammonia, and quaternary disinfectants.

It is not just our lungs that we need to worry about. Hundreds of studies show how chemicals impact our brain and nervous system, our endocrine system (hormones), and basically every system in our bodies. Chemicals do not just enter our bodies when we breathe them in; many are absorbed through the skin. Just think of the drugs that are administered through patches.
